The CertiBiocide certification forms part of French regulations designed to govern the professional use of certain biocidal products. These products, intended to eliminate, neutralise or control harmful organisms through chemical or biological action, may pose risks to human health and the environment.
From 1 January 2026, holding the CertiBiocide certification will become mandatory for professionals in the hygiene and healthcare sectors, as well as for distributors wishing to procure and use biocidal products intended for professional use.
CertiBiocide: what is it?
CertiBiocide is a regulatory certification scheme governing the use of professional biocidal products. Its aim is to ensure responsible and safe use in accordance with health and environmental protection requirements.
This certification comprises three modules, depending on the categories of products used by the company:
CertiBiocide ‘Disinfectants’
This module covers products used for the disinfection of surfaces, premises and equipment in a professional setting. It aims to ensure the safe application of disinfectants, compliance with officially approved dosages and conditions of use, as well as the management of health and environmental risks.
CertiBiocide ‘Pest Control’
Intended for professionals using pest control products (insecticides, rodenticides, insect and rodent control products), this module emphasises risk prevention and the protection of people and the environment.
CertiBiocide ‘Other Products’
This module covers products for the protection of materials (wood, textiles, paints, etc.) and provides a better understanding of authorised uses, associated risks and specific regulatory requirements.
Mobiwatch certified under CertiBiocide ‘Disinfectants’ for the next 5 years
Mobiwatch has successfully completed the CertiBiocide training programme with an accredited body for the ‘Disinfectants’ category, following a 7-hour course. This certification guarantees that our Mobiwatch® SPP solution is fully compliant with current and future regulations for a period of five years.
Mobiwatch® SPP effectively combats viruses, bacteria, spores, mycobacteria and fungi in workplace environments. It can be applied via fogging using our equipment, for which it was developed: Minibio and Maxibio, suited to different surface areas and volumes to be treated.
